Semiconductors FS5600 automotive step-down, voltage regulator and controller integrate a battery-connected DC-DC controller with an external FET and a battery-connected DC-DC converter with an internal FET. NXP FS5600 provides functional safety features, including independent voltage monitor, window watchdog timer, I/O monitoring through ERRMON and FCCU, and built-in self-test. FS5600 offers enhanced ASIL B, ASIL B and QM variants. The enhanced ASIL B version has challenger watchdog and logic BIST (LBIST), which can be used to implement ASIL D multiple functional safety at the system level.
