Analog Devices Inc ADPD6000 Multi-Mode Sensor Front Ends are highly integrated and designed to measure a variety of critical signals. The AFE optical channel is designed to act as an optical transceiver to excite up to four light emitting diodes (LEDs) and measure the return signal on four independent current inputs. The signal chain suppresses signal skew and damage from asynchronous modulation interference without the need for optical filters or externally controlled DC cancellation circuits.
ECG signal acquisition is designed to support low-noise and diagnostic-grade measurements in the presence of various interfering factors. The ECG signal chain has several complementary features that support ECG measurements, such as a drive reference for common-mode rejection and lead-off detection to identify falling electrodes.
The Body Impedance Analysis signal chain is designed for body impedance measurements with configurable excitation and measurement paths. A 12-bit analog sine wave is used in the excitation path to generate sine waves and high precision measurements, with configurable filters to measure the volume response to the stimulus.
Data output and functional configuration use the serial port interface on the ADPD6000. Control circuitry includes flexible LED signal and sync detection, digital filters, digital waveform generators, and configurable filters.
The ADPD6000 is housed in a 2.6mm × 2.6mm, 0.4mm pitch, 36-bump wafer-level chip-scale package.
