Analog Devices Inc. LTC9111 Industrial Single Pair PoE Powered Device (PD) Controller is an IEEE 802.3cg compliant device with an integrated 3.5V backup regulator. These controllers operate over a wide input voltage range from 2.3V to 60V and support the Serial Communication Classification Protocol (SCCP). This SCCP-based classification ensures that the full operating voltage is applied to the power supply equipment (PSE) only when a valid PD is connected. The LTC9111 controller drives two external N-channel MOSFET switches in micropower operation during classification to minimize energy storage capacitor requirements. These LTC9111 controllers are ideal for building automation, factory automation, security systems and traffic control systems.
