Microchip AVR32DD/AVR16DD 8-Bit Microcontrollers are based on the AVR CPU and operate at clock speeds up to 24MHz over the entire supply voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V. The AVR32DD/AVR16DD MCUs are designed to provide real-time control and multi-voltage operation for applications such as industrial control, home appliances, automotive, and IoT.
The AVR32DD and AVR16DD MCUs feature core-independent peripherals, low power consumption, and 5V operation for improved noise immunity. Multi-voltage I/O (MVIO) designs support secure bi-directional communication with systems operating on different voltages. These MCUs include event systems, configurable custom logic, and intelligent analog peripherals such as 12-bit differential ADCs, zero-crossing detection, and 10-bit DACs. These features, along with MVIO, make these devices ideal for sensor applications, IoT end nodes, and other applications that require signal conditioning or level translation.

Microchip Technology AVR32DD and AVR16DD MCUs feature up to 32KB Flash, up to 4KB SRAM, and 256 bytes of EEPROM in 14- and 20-pin packages.

AVR DD MCUs are functional safety devices suitable for use in safety-critical applications for industrial and automotive products (IEC 61508 and ISO 26262).
