EUPEC (European Power Electronics Company) is a subsidiary of Siemens, founded in 1990, originally from the merger of two divisions of Siemens and AEG. In 1999, Siemens Semiconductor Group became independent from Siemens and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Infineon, continuing to produce power semiconductor devices. EUPEC's areas of expertise include power semiconductor devices such as IGBT modules, thyristors, and rectifier diodes. Its products are widely used in power generation, transmission, distribution and various power electronic equipment, especially in the fields of electrical transmission, traction and power system.
