Vincotech's history can be traced back to 1968, when Siemens Communication Group began to manufacture hybrid circuits in Munich, Germany. In 1992, Siemens bought the Bicske plant in Hungary. Four years later, in 1996, Siemens Electromechanical Group began to produce power modules and hybrid circuits at the Bicske plant. In 2000, Tyco International acquired Siemens Electromechanical Group and renamed it Tyco Electronics to establish the Electronic Module Division. In 2007, Grace Group acquired Tyco Electronics Power Systems, divested its previous electronic module business, and changed its name to Vincotech. In 2010, Mitsubishi Electric Group took control of Vincotech, and since then Vincotech has operated as an independent subsidiary.
Vincotech is headquartered in Unterhaching near Munich, Germany, its Asia-Pacific headquarters is in Shanghai, and its factory is located in Bicske, Hungary. The factory has passed ISO/TS16969 and ISO14001 certification, and the module products developed and produced are ROHS and REACH compliant. Before the module is packaged, it will undergo various electrical and functional tests to meet Vincotech's strict quality standards.
