NXP Semiconductors TEA2093TS GreenChip Synchronous Rectifier is a special controller IC that can carry out synchronous rectification on the secondary side of asymmetric flyback converter and standard flyback converter. TEA2093TS uses adaptive grid drive to achieve maximum efficiency under any load. TEA2093TS controller IC is integrated with sensing stage and driver stage, which can drive SR MOSFET, and SR MOSFET rectifies the output of secondary transformer winding.
The NXP TEA2093TS controller can generate its own power supply voltage for low output voltage battery charging applications or high side rectifier applications. TEA2093TS is made by silicon insulation (SOI) process.
TEA2093TS is designed for flyback power supply. In these applications, it can drive an external synchronous rectifier MOSFET instead of a diode to rectify the voltage on the transformer secondary winding.
