Xilinx Virtex® -7 Programmable Gate Arrays are devices using Stacked Silicon Interconnect (SSI) technology to meet the system requirements of various applications. FPGAs are semiconductor devices based on a matrix of Configurable Logic Blocks (CLBs) connected by a programmable interconnect system. The Virtex-7 is suitable for applications such as 10G-100G networking, portable radar and ASIC prototyping. Virtex-7 belongs to one of four FPGA families (the others are Spartan-7, Artix-7 and Kintex-7). Virtex-7 devices also meet a variety of system requirements, including small size, cost-sensitive, high-volume applications, ultra-high-end connectivity bandwidth, logic capacity, and signal processing capabilities. Virtex-7 FPGAs are optimized for 28nm system performance and integration with up to 96 advanced serial transceivers.
