2. Rectangular connector usage environment?
1. Ambient temperature: refers to the use within the ambient temperature specified by the product. Even if the external ambient temperature is not high, if the product works in the chassis, the heat dissipation conditions are poor and the heating of other components will cause the ambient temperature of the product to be much higher than the external ambient temperature. Using it beyond the specified ambient temperature can also damage the metal plating or insulator.
2. Humidity or water: Humidity or water will form a water film on the surface of the insulator, which will reduce the insulation performance and even cause miscommunication between adjacent contact parts. Generally, connectors that are used in high humidity or water conditions for a long time should use sealing connectors.
3. Low air pressure: The air pressure will decrease under high altitude conditions (except in a constant air pressure sealed chamber). When the product is under low air pressure conditions, the dielectric withstand voltage of the product will decrease. If the transmitted voltage is higher than the requirements of the product technical conditions, electrical breakdown may occur, causing failure.
4. Corrosive environment: refers to the atmosphere around the product when it is working, such as salt spray at sea, acid and alkali in chemical raw material storage warehouses, etc. These conditions will cause corrosion and erosion to the metal parts and insulators of the connector. When selecting connectors, special requirements can be made to the manufacturer or products that can meet these requirements can be selected.
5. Mechanical conditions: refers to mechanical effects such as vibration, impact, acceleration, etc., and are selected according to the parameters in the micro-rectangular connector sample. In fact, in actual use, the cable and the contact should be crimped and fixed with a wire clamp or other means. Cables that are too long and have no fixing measures will endanger the safety of the cable under the action of external forces such as vibration or impact. In severe cases, it will cause cable breakage and micro-rectangular connector damage. -
3. Operation Guide for Rectangular Connectors?
1. To ensure reliable connection of the product, ensure that the connector is properly plugged in during use. Do not forcefully insert if any abnormality is found during insertion.
2. Connectors that are not fully inserted or not locked cannot be powered on.
3. The derating of the main technical parameters of the product (see the rectangular connector product sample manual) should be clarified according to different application conditions to improve the reliability of use.
4. The rectangular electrical connector is a short-shell connector that does not have the function of preventing oblique insertion. When inserting, the direction should be aligned first and then pushed in slowly, because it takes time for the twist needle to automatically find the correct position. It is recommended to observe with your eyes when plugging or separating the connector, operate carefully, prevent the product from being excessively deflected, and try not to use the left and right shaking method to pull it out. In particular, excessive deflection at the moment of plugging or separating should be avoided, otherwise it may cause damage to the pins, sockets, shells and other parts.
5. During use, the root of the cable should be avoided from being stressed to prevent the cable from coming out or breaking.
6. For sealed rectangular electrical connector products supported by glass insulators, the welding terminals should not be moved arbitrarily during welding, and they should not be shaken left and right when unplugged. Also, be careful to handle with care.
7. For applications where plugging and unplugging are frequent, converters, transfer cables or anti-slant plug connectors can be used when necessary.

9. The connector should be plugged in or dust-proof when placed.
