TI TPS54308/TPS54308DDCR Synchronous 350kHz Step-Down Converter
TI TPS54308 4.5V to 28V Input, 3A Output, Synchronous 350kHz FCCM Step-Down Converter features two integrated switching FETs, internal loop compensation, and 5ms internal soft-start to reduce component count. The TPS54308/TPS54308DDCR achieves high power density through integrated MOSFETs and comes in a small SOT-23 package. The switching frequency remains nearly constant over the entire load range, operating in forced continuous conduction mode at light loads. The device is enhanced with low-side MOSFET freewheeling current limiting to prevent current runaway, and cycle-by-cycle current limiting on the high-side MOSFET to protect the converter during overload conditions. If the over-current condition lasts longer than the preset time, the TPS54308 hiccup protection function will be triggered.
