Bosch BMP390 Barometric Pressure Sensor Improves Indoor Navigation in Emergency Situations

Bosch BMP390 barometric pressure sensor. This is an ultra-small, low-power, low-noise 24-bit absolute barometric pressure sensor with vertical (z-axis) capability for accurate indoor positioning via smartphone in emergency situations.
The Bosch BMP390 barometric pressure sensor has a pressure range of 300hPa to 1250hPa at 0°C to 65°C with a typical relative accuracy of ±0.03hPa. The sensor consumes only 3.2µA at 1Hz, and its form factor is only 2.0mm × 2.0mm × 0.75mm, making it ideal for a variety of low-power altitude tracking applications in smartphones and wearables. With its vertical-specific positioning capabilities and excellent accuracy, the BMP390 sensor helps handset designers meet the FCC's upcoming positioning accuracy requirements.

For development use, BMP390 Shuttle Board and Application Board 3.0. These are two development boards designed to be used together, allowing developers to access the pins of the BMP390 sensor for evaluation work and to test use cases by building prototypes.

As a compact, single-package solution, the BMP390 enhances design flexibility and can be easily integrated into many existing and developing applications, including Internet of Things (IoT) devices, smartphones, GPS modules, wearables Devices, smart headphones and drones.
